NAOMI: Still the Baaaadest
Monday Oct 26, 2009 – By A.C. Workman Who can take out a housemaid with a single Smackberry? Who can rock community service hours in New York City’s Sanitation Department in a pair of Christian Louboutins? Who can make Italian mega-moguls open up their bank accounts and toss out multi-million dollar yachts like so many peppermints?

Cat Survives 19 Hours In Freezer
They say cats have nine lives, but curiosity nearly proved fatal for one little kitten in Te Kuiti, New Zealand. One-year-old short-hair Krillen is down to eight lives today, thanks to an ill-advised exploration of the domestic landscape. You see, this lucky little kitty survived an incredible 19 hours in a sub-zero freezer ! How did this feline survive his trip to the Arctic climes of the family freezer? He’s got his owners, Sarah Crombie and Sid Sisson, to thank for that. Sharp-eared
Feline Fantasies 101
“Doesn’t Bella creep you out?” Andy asked, raking his black-painted nails through spikes of neon purple hair. The object of his curiosity reclined on my lap, bubble gum-pink tongue lapping at her glistening, black as pitch, tiny paw. I had no idea what the boy was talking about. “She’s a cat,” he observed, “and completely black!” Chuckling over

Katie Is Fine
About an hour ago, I got the cytology results on Katie’s liver. She does not have cancer. She does have feline hepatic lipidosis–fatty liver syndrome–which is fairly unique to cats. It can be fatal if not caught in time. The treatment is to get her weight back up and not let her get anorexic. She’s been putting on weight the last few days and there’s more to go. I’m so relieved that I cannot get into it.

My Sick Cat, My Rollercoaster
My wonderful cat Katie took ill last Wednesday evening, drooling all of a sudden and rapidly losing several pounds of body weight. She’s been to the vet three times in the last few days, the last time for an inconclusive (and expensive) ultrasound that narrowed things down to either feline hepatic lipidosis or lymphoma. The vet also took some fluid from her liver and sent it out for cytology. I won’t get the results until Wednesday (the vet’s initial reading before sending it to pathology was th
